I Saw An Elder Yesterday Who Told Me 3 Area Kingdom Halls Were Being Dissolved

I think the reason the elder was excited was he would be moved to a larger congregation with more elders to carry the elder burden.

I know if I was still an elder I would be. LOL

There must be way too many half-empty halls thus a new business MO or the cult needs lots of cash. Attorneys/financial experts telling them to take down the tent(s).

I saw this myself some months ago when I went to a funeral talk for somebody in the local hall. The place was more than half empty. A decade or so ago, the place would have been packed.

I’m not surprised if they are selling off these buildings. The handwriting is on the wall. All the faithful Witnesses still left in the religion are going to be majorly inconvenienced when they have to travel further and further to a hall (which I would have never done)..Who knows where this will end?

After that bunker video came out, I worried that the GB would order everyone to build bunkers, then tell them the end was here and make them hole themselves in while the GB ran off with their monies.

If this is how it ends... I will be relieved. I had one congregation that felt like home. Our Kingdom Hall had been donated by my best friend's family. They lived right next door and did all the upkeep. People were worried when they did some renovations but nothing changed so much that it took away what we loved about our KH. If I were still in and at risk of losing that KH... that it was being dissolved and sold off... that would give me a reason to stop going. I always felt very protective and territorial about my KH. If this helps people fade out... then I am all for it.

Finkelstein - "Looks like the WTS is going to cash in..."

Seems like for every confirmed (or even anticipated) pedo-case settlement, they gotta sell off another spoon from the "family silver".

So what happens when the silver runs out?

    Tap 'em dry, I say.

In the end, this'll just break the WT's bank and frees their slaves.

I know of a case like this from 5 years ago. The congregations shrank because the distance and traffic made it too hard to attend the meeting (especially during the week). The bOrg leadership didn't really seem to care.

"The bOrg leadership didn't really seem to care."

All WT cares about is the money in the coffers and blind obedience! It's becoming very obvious to the rank and file.

BRAV-O! The end of something must be REALLY drawing closer!

It might be just two or three lap-dancing generations away!

    WOWee! Huzzah!

    Yipee Ki-yay, mothertowers!

They have no clue of what the pedo problems are. They are just so dumber down. It’s embarrassing

I suspect it is hard to keep a positive attitude these days in JW world. The slow march to oblivion has to be painful.
