Even the needs of children to be children are ignored and children are treated as miniature adults and expected to perform to adult standards
Growing up I was never aloud to just be a child, to enjoy my childhood but everything was to be taken seriously. We couldn't have any guilt free activities with "worldly" and even Jdub children.
I recall an instance when I was about 10, where my mother had a party for all the dub children on Halloween night. We all had lots of fun without celebrating the holiday. Well this got back to the overseer and of course my mother got an ear full about having a "Halloween" party. So that was the last time we could have a party so we didn't offend anyone.
