  G'day all,

  So how's this weekend been for youse? Mrs Ozzie and I are taking things very quietly. I watched the Liverpool v Arsenal game last night and right now we're enjoying some typical eastern european cake brought to us by a neighbour. (No shiraz today!)

  The WTS often make the claim that the Dubs are unified and that this is a sign that they have "the Troof". Here's a typical example: "A common allegiance to the Kingdom of God and faithful adherence to Bible principles is what unifies Jehovah's Witnesses into a worldwide brotherhood." (Creation book, page 230)

  What do you think? This weekend?s poll question is:

  What unifies Jehovah?s Witnesses?

  1. Their Kingdom Halls all look alike.
  2. The elders all wear dark suits.
  3. The women all wear long skirts (with slits!)
  4. The men walk the suburban streets wearing suits and carrying briefcases.
  5. They know how to fill out field service reports.
  6. They know what "faithful and discreet slave" means!
  7. They?ve all read the "Revelation Climax!" book !
  8. They all know how to walk out witnessing!
  9. They know how to avoid looking at a DF person.
  10. They all say "My friends and I are calling on you and your neighbours."
  11. They know how to qualify to clean the Kingdom Hall windows.

  G'day rocketman,

  I get your point. I think the WTS' claim is all wrong actually. Rather than united, it should be unified or uniform and that's what my list of eleven points is meant to illustrate.

  well pooh, I was set and ready to talk about retirement!!!

  I'm thinking if we can...........oh nevermind. I can't even believe I'm talking about retirement when the New System (sic) was just around the corner all my life! <sheesh>

  So let me know what others are going to do with reitrement? Circuit work, missionary work, pre-convention work, Bethel, move to where the need is greater!!!! Well, what would it be???

  2. They all know how to walk out witnessing!
  3. They know how to avoid looking at a DF person.

  Its not just what they look like, you can spot a witness on the ministry a mile off from the way they go on. And they all know how to spot a bad associate and then to shun you.
