I'm ready to get my first Powerball ticket -- NOT!

Once I started playing my lucky numbers a few times ($1 each) I got sucked into consistently playing those numbers for all the different lotto games they had. My feeling was that if my numbers won and I had not bought the ticket I would commit hari kari.

It actually happened once when I was not able to afford my tickets for a few weeks due to unemployment. Fortunately it was only four out of five lucky numbers and I lost the opportunity to win $250 out of the $50,000 top prize.

I buy in when the fever strikes a few hundred million bucks. Bought 40 dollars worth the other day and obviously no winner. Maybe I'll buy a few tomorrow for shits and giggles. If I win, well you won't see me posting much anymore

    I bought 10 tickets on a whim.

I'll keep all of you guys in mind if I win......well maybe not cofty or Viviane but definitely everyone else.

    Just kidding cofty/Viviane.

I buy them occasionally, just one. I bought one today. Winning comes with its own problems. Hell, you'd have to hire someone to bale all of your mail from all of the unsolicited requests for money, change your address, phone, everything.

I'd be happy with a smaller prize without the required 1 time PR event with the stupid souvenir check, while the PB winner took the spotlight.

If I win the lottery I am going to apply for reinstatement.

I absolutely gauranty it will be the fastest reinstatement EVER.

On a side note I had a buddy who could count cards and would go to ho chunk (nearby casino) and win pretty regularly. He would win a few grand, tell on himself, donate most of the money to the hall and then go back. This went on for a couple years.

Odds are about 250 million to 1 of winning - which by the way is MUCH greater than Armageddon ever coming:)

The lottery is like religion, you can't win if you don't play.

The United States Powerball did not produce a winner last night. Next drawing will be this coming Wednesday with an All-Time Jackpot high of 1.3 Billion Dollars.

    That is some serious Jack!

I am not quite sure why some of the Materialists on this forum are not excited. I mean they have bet their whole life on far, far greater odds:

Harold Morowitz, a Yale University physicist, has made a more realistic estimate for spontaneous generation. Morowitz imagined a broth of living bacteria that were super-heated so that all the complex chemicals were broken down into their basic building blocks. After cooling the mixture, he concluded that the odds of a single bacterium re-assembling by chance are one in 10 to the 100 billionth power.... To put this number into perspective, it is more likely that you and your entire extended family would win the state lottery every week for a million years than for a bacterium to form by chance.

If you are willing to bet your life on such odds, why not invest heavily playing a game with only a few dollars that have a far greater chance of happening?

Here's the safest bet of what is going on:

Romans 1:18 says, "God is revealed from heaven against all....men who suppress the truth...because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them...they...exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for... birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures." Romans 1:18 & 19

Quite a prophecy about evolution and Materialists! What are the odds of that?
