I talked to my best friend last night (the one who isn't Big Tex) and SHE'S COMING!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!! She's still trying to trade a day (she works for United Airlines) so she can come to the Saturday night festivities, but she is for sure coming in on Thursday and staying at least until Saturday at lunch or a little after. I haven't seen her since Dad's funeral back in February, so this will be a special visit. Of course, all of her visits are special! She and I met on the school playground when I was in second grade and we've been best friends ever since.
Now if the kids will stay well for just ONE weekend . . . .
I have a faculty Partay Friday night ( and a private afterparty, too, If you smell what the badger is cooking), So I doubt I can slide in on Friday....If I can, I will, but it'll be late...
Saturday and Sunday are cool, though...keep us posted!
Okay, fellow Apostate-partygoers, the countdown has begun! When you get in on Friday, give Travis a call, or me or Big Tex (PM me if you need phone numbers). Tentative plans are to meet at the Bradford Friday evening and maybe go out to dinner someplace fun. Saturday those who want to can meet up to see the Dallas Museum of Art, maybe have lunch at West End, wander through the Sixth Floor Museum, catch a little pinata action at Reverchon Park, and then meet up again at Pueblo Arriba for the big dinner on Saturday evening.
There will also be a Christmas Celebration performance at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra on Sunday the 14th at 8:00PM.
Ring in the holiday season as David R. Davidson leads the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Chorus and special guest artists in the annual Christmas Celebration extravaganza! This popular Dallas family tradition features audience sing-along, holiday favorites, and other Christmas classics.
The company that I work for has given out 25% discounts for all employees, families and friends... that's you!
The ticket prices range from $25.00 to $90.00 ($18.75 to $67.5 with 25% discount))
In my opinion, the best seats in the house are on the left or right side of the Orchestra Terrace. The discount price for these seats is $51.00. I know that price can be hard to swallow... but there is nothing quite like listening to a live symphony orchestra... and hell... this is a special occasion!
It would be great if we could get a few people together who would like to do this!
Damn well wish I was going! The bank has just put another £2000 on me Visa card too. Tempting....No! We have lots of guests coming over Xmas, we shall just have to have our own mini-fest.
