If you want to know who rules YOUR world (i.e. who controls your social sphere of politics and influence), merely cast your eye towards the first person that you are not allowed to question!
So, for JWs, that would be the Governing Body. Yep, the Governing Body control the world as far as Dubs are concerned. Anyone who's ever been a Witness will surely agree with me on this fact.

God is in control of whatever satan does anyway....................that is what the wt can't get a grip on. If we belong to Christ, we are not ruled by Him. "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one" is referring to those who do not belong to Him. The god of this world....same thing.... Materialism, lovelessness, pride, etc....that is the world. It aint about birthday gatherings....
I like how John 16:33 puts it: "In the world you will have tribulation, but take courage! I [Jesus] have conquered the world."
