Two basic desires fuel the fashion industry – novelty and conformity… At the same time we don’t want to look out of place, so we buy cloths that conform to some degree to the style worn by our associates. Over the centuries the clothing industry has catered to – and sometimes exploited – these desires for novelty and conformity.

Amazing how they so graciously use double think and blatant contradictions to impose their will. First they strongly imply that "conformity" is bad... because it makes you a "slave to fashion". Then they immediately turn around and say that one must conform based on "our associates" (JWs).

They want it both ways at the same time... DON'T conform to the "world"... but you BETTER conform to the standards set by the WTS. They manage to say that in two sentences in a single paragraph.

I'm amazed that JWs don't look at this and think it is total BS.
