Many J.W's would be very proud not to have cable, as if this was some horrible sin. And if some did have it, they would hide their only T.V in their bedroom in a large cabinet.

I knew some JW's that didn't have HBO because of some nasty shows they didn't want the family to see but the husband and wife would watch porn when the kiddies were asleep.

I think it was briefly touched upon, but I've noticed an unusually high percentage of depressed people amoung jw's. In my old congregation, almost everyone at one time or another claimed they were depressed.
Kinda makes you wonder, where are all of jehovahs "happy" people? I thought the "truth" was not "burdensome"?

Stupid words like "encouraging", "commendable", "upbuilding", "truly" are used by the average witness 176 times a day.

Another fascination of JWs is "Are you baptised?"
"Have you spoke to the elders about this?" is used as a scapegoat for people who are questioned and do not want to think things through.

:JW's are a peculiar bunch. Certain things are characteristic of the Witnesses. JW's are known for some weird, unconventional things. Can you think of some examples of eccentricities that Witnesses have? Some. Starting stupid threads with idiotic topics comes to mind... Farkel
