In the last 20 years How Many Changes Have Occurred in Watchtower Beliefs?

Jehovah's Witnesses say that they have the truth and the truth is constant. They believe that what they teach is the truth that comes directly from Jehovah God.

Can you think of anything that has changed in the last 20 years to show a Jehovah's Witness that the truth is not necessarily the Truth.

it was one of my main objections back in the late 60's. no-one could come up with an explanation. it was derived from working back from 1975. i only found out it had been dropped when i started reading threads on this site in recent years.

July 2013 WT. The ''Faithful and Discreet Slave was not chosen in 1918-19 when Jesus came to inspect Religions, but it is a future event, during the Great Tribulation'', ,,, not sure of the exact wording, but it was along those lines.

A complete reversal of ''understanding'' taught repeatedly over the decades.

    Hello again ,

sorry for the typing errors. It should be read as:

" I have made a very detailes summary for each change."

    I do apologize.

    Greetings,

MacHislopp your research is a great idea and I appreciate the work and effort.

Would it be possible to get a list of the changes and just a citation if we need to add details. It's easy for a number of us to get bogged down in an information overload and infinite details.

In my experience when talking to a 'we have the truth' JW one may only have time for one change that we can point out. I am aware of many changes and jwfacts.com has a comprehensive list of flip flops but your research may add to that work or provide a different way to approach the changes.

Minimus you seem to be coming up with very excellant provocative questions these days that call on us to think......... not just react.

It's no secret, in fact the GB proudly highlight the changes they've made.....

Listed in the Index under the heading 'Beliefs Clarified':

    https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1200277174

All the changes from 2000 include online links to the various publications explaining the change/s.

And yes - as per MacHislopp post above - the GB do list 96 changes since 1971.
