Yes, those types of people you listed (1-5) are likely fed up with equality and are likely to say and do bigoted things. Unfortunately, they might or might not hate people.
What they believe is wrong. If they break the Law mildly, they should be punished mildly. If they break the Law severely, they should be punished severely.
Which brings us back to Prof Time Hunt. If he did anything wrong, was it mild or severe? How should he have been punished?
Professor Hunt doesn't hate women, does he?
