Why Does It Seem That Black People Are Always Being Shot By The Police?

@Betheliesalot: That may be true, but whites are less likely to commit a crime.

So in the form of crime statistics, you're almost 50% more likely to be shot if you're a white committing a crime vs a black committing a crime. It's even worse if you are Asian, who are shot while committing a crime twice as likely as blacks.

Maybe these black suspects don't feel understood by non-black police arresting them. They might be more cooperative if there's a black cop present at the scene.

Black cops are statistically more likely to shoot people than white cops are.

About twice as many whites are shot than blacks, but there are a lot more whites than blacks, so the imbalance is there

The stats are misleading (often deliberately).

Wouldn't a fair comparison include details of the proportion of people committing crimes? Because that is practically always a factor when people get shot by police.

If we added 10 million more law-abiding black people, would everything be OK then? Yet none of those people would have anything todo with what you're measuring ... which is a sign that he methodology is way off track.

Cops want to go home to their children after a shift.

If a suspect becomes obstinate, and potentially endangers that desire, that human right, it is time for them to find out whether there is life after death.

Many suspects, repeat offenders known to cops, will fight to their death to stay out of jail, they have been there. it works. If that lesson learned has disproportionately a colour component, let the police not suffer as a consequence.so:

"fight to their death." whose' death should that be?

Is it because it's reported on and publicized more? Aren't significantly more whites killed by police each year than blacks?

    Correct.

Do cops have a dangerous job?

Statistically, is it noted how cops die and by whom?

Blacks aren’t shot more, it’s just what the news wants to show to push their narrative. Take this story for example, the media is not giving it any attention at all. If this was a white man that shot a black man and his black daughter, it would be on the news for days and days along with rioting and looting.

Maybe someone can refresh my memory.

Which year was that riot that occurred because a white, drug affected ex con was killed by police?

Bad example. That Black guy is caught and is charged and will be going to prison = justice.

That is how the system should work. To make it over just which race shot another is missing the

    point completely.

The protests are over people who shoot, kill, are identified, but not charged as in the current

case of the Breonna Taylor murder in Kentucky and as it was for months over the Ahmad Arbury

    murder in Georgia.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics figures on incarceration show that our Blacks are wayyyyyy over represented in the prison population, 2.2 % of the population make up 28% of prisoners. https://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/[email protected]/Lookup/by%20Subject/4517.0~2019~Main%20Features~Aboriginal%20and%20Torres%20Strait%20Islander%20prisoner%20characteristics%20~13

They do get pulled of more often that Whities because odds on it will be stolen.
