I like the word ruthless (unmerciful, unforgiving, cold-hearted, unrelenting, etc.).
Here's why it interests me: if a person is unforgiving, cold-hearted, etc., he is ruthless. But if he's merciful, forgiving, warm-hearted, etc., he isn't called ruthful.
Why is ruth + less a word but not ruth + ful?
Edit - ruthful apparently exists as an archaic word meaning 'full of pity; compassionate;merciful' (https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/ruthful).
