"Now I need to come up with something happier to write about. We'll see."

You can write about your mother's sister: your favorite auntie who is me. I'd be honored. I enjoyed this first poem of yours. Please, write more.

I love you, Chris. When I look at that picture of you and your mom. I remember how much happier and more normal she was before Jehovah's Witnesses came into their lives, and through them to you and to me and my children. That picture was taken early in 1971 on St. Croix, when your family lived there while your dad worked for Hess Oil. I was 12 then. I have lost that sister in the picture. I have lost the JW sister. Along with you, I am dead. Star and I were always so close. I am trying to think, I guess it's been 8 years since she cut me off.

Simon, if you and Chris have the same "mother", then that makes me your aunt, too.

    Chris-
