Someone else here once described the JWs as “experts at depressing people”.
That is pretty much right on the mark.

I would even go as far to say, I believe my wife prays each day for this system of things to end. She told my son not to long ago that she hopes Armagedon comes soon. I told my son:
Me: you know what she is telling you right.
Son: No what is she saying.
Me: Since me, you and your brother are not in the cult. She is hoping Armagedon comes and destroys us.
so in other words she hopes you die soon.
Son: WTF is wrong with her.
Me: Well son that is cult mind control, she is not the same mom we had before getting involved in this cult.
I have told my wife that everyday the sun comes up, that is one more day that proves your cult a liar.

goingthru, I actually had almost that exact conversation with my jw! how he hoped all of us (his wife, children, parents, etc..) will die in the big A. He couldn't wrap his head around it and denied that is what they teach blah, blah. I showed him quotes from various wt's that pretty much said as much but then like a good jw he just changed the subject.
