I was wondering how this would play out in JW land.

Nope, looking at porn is a strict no-no. Jerking to porn, as an elder commented, is the same as adultery. You looked at the naked person with enough lust to get aroused and then climaxed. Time for the back-room inquisition. Of course when his own kid got caught sleeping with a "worldly" school friend it was no big deal because he "didn't climax. So it is only loose conduct, not fornication!".

    Can't make that s--t up!

how would a JW handle this. ? If he takes his cue from Bethel he might just use a pillow ?

Then again it might be whether he`s left or right handed ?

I would imaging JWs would say that they did it without the help of porn, even if that was not the case.

Maybe if you wack off looking at one of the pictures of life in paradise from one of the magazines it would be acceptable.

Talking about masturbation, I once asked a fellow elder if his parents had ever caught him jerking off! Of course, he answered a resounding NO!

To which I replied, "you must have had a good hiding place"!

We both got a good laugh out of that one!

    just saying!

Well considering that porn is verboten and wanking is verboten we can conclude that artificial insemination is also verboten.

I remember a couple who conceived via IVF and the elders gave them hell about it because it "might" involve destroying some fertilized eggs if more than one is sucessful.

I got a vasectomy before I got married.

I always wanted one, but thought it was wise to wait until I was planning marriage and to discuss it with my hypothetical future wife first.

Turns out, my wife didn't know until much later that I had to ejaculate a bunch of times, on my own, after having the procedure in order to clear out any leftover sperm. She was unhappy about my "unclean" acts, but ultimate decided that it was a necessary evil.

In a future episode: all the creepy weird shit the Watchtower says about sterilization, and the measures you have to undertake so as to not "stumble" all the people whose business your vasectomy isn't.

IVF in general is looked poorly upon, because it involves basically aborting multiple (typically around 5-12) viable sometimes fertilized eggs.

According to JW life begins at "conception, when the ovum, or egg cell, of the woman is fertilized by a sperm cell of the man" (G 7/2009)".

Although they leave it up to the conscience what to do with fertilized eggs: https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/w20121215/view-of-in-vitro-fertilization/ which is (as usual) wholly inconsistent with their stance on abortion.

As far as the masturbation, if you masturbate, you become gay (Watchtower May 15 1970 p. 315; Watchtower 1976 Feb 15 pp. 122–123) which then would obviate the need for children.

As far as the issue in regards masturbation and other real problems in the real world which is quite an interesting read: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/49755809_Issues_arising_during_the_treatment_of_Jehovah's_Witnesses_by_in_vitro_fertilisation

If I were married to someone who actually said it was it was an unclean act to do a thing for my wellness I would kick her to the curb like last nights garbage.
