Good points Stephane. I take your point.

True, many people DO work too much, and they end up missing out on LIFE itself.

Stephane and Stuck, it is an interesting matter, that of working hard. I was on a committee meeting last night with pillars of society (not the WT!) professional folk, financiers, administrators an ambassador, etc. These people are extremely hard working but happy and balanced. They don't waste time on Armageddon or niceties of Bible interpretation. They think at twice the speed of normal people and five times the speed of JWs. They get things done and they take long holidays.

However to be a JW normally prevents a person from enjoying a productive and useful life. At every corner in life a JW has to evaluate the daft thinking of his or her favoured cult and worry over the next move whether their leaders will permit it or not. Talk about self sacrifice--it is stultifying!

JWs are not usually motivated to be hard working except in slavery to their cult masters. They have been led to put all of their emotional 'eggs' into one useless Watchtower basket. Working for the WT will leave every last individual eventually being either deluded or disappointed, there is no other destiny for a J W. . .

To be a JW is to deny the pleasure of working hard and enjoying the benefits of your own work-- as the Bible recommends! (Eccles 3;22)
