So can you pray for others that are not JW's ? Or only JW's

    I once attended an Ms and elders meeting where the CO instructed us when praying from the platform to not pray for those who had been missing meetings for a long time. His attitude was if they are not here, why are we praying for them. Totally heartless and unchristian attitude from a CO

    Hell, yes, you can pray with and for whoever you like. . . . Pray for Obama, Putin, Merkel, Cameron, Holande, and the like. Then show him the urge to do just so in 1. Timothy 2:1-3.

    That elder probably got farther in reading the "Flock"-Book than reading the Bible.

    @Sir82 is correct in stating the position WT takes on praying FOR others, as elders will refer to talking points from the"Reasoning" book and apply words from John 17 where Christ prays for his disciples and not "concerning the World".
