    @KateWild:

    I was completely faded for 1.5 years but I felt that I was not making a stand for truth. Reminds me of the old saying that goes something like "Evil flourishes when good men do nothing".

    Welcome to the land of disassociation! My wife and I DA'd in September. It is so freeing not to have to play their games anymore and to get a fresh start. It felt amazing for us to take a stand too. We took one to get in that mess, and it was great to take one while leaving. Good for you!

    Question to everyone here: is it better to D/A myself or just fade away? I've done the fade for now but if they try to D/F me then I'll expose everything I know. I'll go to every newspaper in the area. I think being D/A is not as bad as being D/Fd. Anyone else feel this way?

    Fading away is very, very tough. Looking over your shoulder 24/7. With DAing oneself it's a clean break away. It's just how many ''friends'' you have in the Borg or just to keep family.

    With Df'ing, everyone thinks you're up to no good. I think that people will view DAing oneself less as ''bad'' as DFing. But these days who will know whether you've actually DA'ed or DF'ed.

    Fading can be a long, long, long process. Patience,hard work and planning

    I hate to sound like someone ''differing'' on the issue. But it seems like whether you're DF'd of DA'd, the Borg and the rank and file will view you as the same.

    So and So is ''no longer a JW''. This has been the sentiment for the last decade now. The rank and file will no longer know the details. They will just view as evil, with both announcements.

    Fading for me was easy. Stepped down as an elder, separated from my wife (now EX wife) moved out of the territory, ignored phone calls and texts, started living my life.

    People talked, Facebook rumbled, but after about 3 months they were on to the next big 'thing'

    Congratulations, we applaud you. Temecula is a beautiful city, especially since the Pechanga

    Casino open.
