    Yes I can see the flaw in JW logic about blood. The symbol (blood meaning life) itself is more important than the real thing (life).

    But I don't see the JW doctrine of blood being an analogy of how Law consider the human superiority.

    Let me rephrase as carefully as I can:

    Jehovah's Witnesses use blood banking terminology to define what is and what is not "blood." "Primary components" are forbidden. "Secondary components" are matters of conscience.

    However that terminology is simply a reflection of the way blood is broken down, packaged and sold to medical institutions.

    Systems of categorization exist entirely for the convenience of the one making them. And this is equally true in law.

    Laws governing how humans conduct themselves are going to exclude animals as a matter of course. It would be a mistake to read more into it than that.
