"The shootings in Las Vegas show how much we need God's Kingdom"

My JW wife, like all of us, was saddened by the senseless killings in Nevada. She said, "The shootings just shows how much we need God's Kingdom." I replied, "Yes if it was Armageddon, Jehovah wouldn't have left any survivors." That made her stop and think for a moment.

I am sure that all JW's will say how terrible the killings were but they don't bat an eyelash when they pray for God's Kingdom to come and usher in a paradise earth where 99.9% of the world's population will be murdered by Jehovah.

With glee, they are in eager anticipation of surviving Armageddon into a world with billions of dead rotting bodies everywhere, no power grid, no running water, no heat or air conditioning and having the elder window washers barking out orders on who gets to bury the dead. I am sure that the pioneers and ministerial servants will get to supervise while the elders wait for instructions from Tony Morris and goofy Lett.

Who is going to be in charge of rationing out the toilet paper? My guess it will be the Special Pioneers.

This just makes me Sour Grapes.

I call it a prayer paradox "surviving Armageddon and millions must die", or you pray for rain because your crops need it but rain comes and the next county over the hill is flooded and their crops are ruin and family members drown.

It is ironic that, hot on the heels of a shockingly senseless tragedy, JWs will preach that this proves how much humankind need God's kingdom - which, if true, will result in monumentally and exponentially far more widespread bloodshed, death and destruction than the latest tragedy they use to "illustrate" their point.

Too bad it can't be solved that easily in a fairytale, perfect, world.

To think too, that we as ex JWs used to say that as well after any human tragedy. We would choose a nice juicy story of something that happened in one small place, and then say the whole wold is like that.

Yet when it comes to Armaggeddon witnesses are perfectly ok with that mass killing.

Just read on the CNN news a JW was killed during the attack. A young woman. So sad.

Yet there will be those in the cult condemning this woman for being at this concert instead of being out in service or at a meeting. I hope this is not the case but we are talking about a cult. Still Totally ADD

TBH STADD, in my experience Witnesses will be falling over themselves to say they knew her, know someone who knows her and putting posts onto social media in their droves.

[EDIT] or saying they once went to Las Vegas

The king has been ruling for 103 years this month, and still can not get his angels to act to stop such mayhem? just flip, jam the safety, invisibly? sad for the victims.
