    ThiChi,

You obviously didn't spot this thread I started weks ago...that got NO replies...regarding the British Soldiers being investigated for the abuse of POW's.

I have been critical of the US, but also as critical of the British government aswell, as they rode rough-shod over the people in this country by going against massive public opinion.

The torture of Iraqi's by ANY foreign soldiers is as bad as them being tortured by Saddam, and that was one of the supposed reasons for going in.

The point was reexamining the claims and comparisons some made here concerning the US and British forces, based on this current news item. That’s all....Most here got it right....

Ok, so having made a comparison what do you conclude? I conclude that us Brits are more in tune with universal ethics than the Americans are. We don't stick up for a criminal 'just because they're British, and us british ought to stick together'! That would be a shocking mentality.

On the other hand you Americans give the impression (and please correct me if I'm wrong- I do hope I am wrong) that you would make excuses for a fellow American Soldier because they're doing a great job and we shouldn't critisise them! Your country is imune to War Crimes Tribunal, because your government selfishly insisted they would not help the rest of the world unless their country was imune!

In the face of forien critisisum, you Americans seem to respond that our oppinions count for nothing because we are not Americans! You are not imune from critisisum, and your venamous refusal to accept your errors and sort them out is turning you into the next Nazi regime.

Francious, I'm not doing a statistics report for your benefit, and frankly I don't think that it would make any differance to your arrogance if I did.
