As far as I can see, events from Trudeau's past is embarrassing him. And I don't have a problem with that. ;)
Generally speaking, I think people can black or brown themselves up (and by the same token, people of color can go around in 'white face') and it's all part & parcel of freedom of expression.

If Trudeau was black, put on white-face and went to a party with a lot of other black people there, what would have been the result?
If a guy dresses up as a woman (drag) and goes to a party, is that offensive to women?
Maybe worse yet, if a guy goes to a party in drag AND black-face, is that offending all blacks plus all women?
That gives me an idea for a new app ... just plug in the variables and see who you are potentially offending (you heard it first here!)

I wonder if blackface, as bad as it is, is a convenient distraction. His roommate / buddy from when he was a teacher has just been arrested in child porn charges. I fail to believe you can be close to someone like that and now know something isn't right.

it's not because of blackface that he shouldn't be PM, it's because he's an incompetent and corrupt asshole that is damaging Canada because he thinks posing on social networks is "leading". He treats people like shit - women, minorities, hard working canadians.

Here's the typical hypocrisy of the left. Can you just imagine if one of Trump's kids had been shown to have dressed up in the same way? It would be on CNN 24x7 for weeks, endlessly, and the word "RACIST" would be on the chyron every time.
Don't pretend it's not a big issue, it just highlights that you don't truly care about principles, like most leftists you don't really have many.
