Someone was wise to the fact there would be written records by the Elders in the library's locked files.

I hope they implicate the Elders conspiring to obstruct justice and not report the child abuse to the police.

I wonder if the victim's family had contacted a law firm with knowledge of JW procedures. If there is a paper trail showing a failure to report to the police, or a pattern of previous or additional unreported cases, this could prove very embarrassing AND expensive for Watchtower and the local Elders...and possibly result in additional defendants and possibly arrests of Elders.

The Mike and Kim youtube channel just uploaded a 1/2 hr video on this subject.

Mike touched-on the subject that what if the Borg was to go belly-up before other religions do? I mean I can remember as far back as I can about the Borg always relaying how the fall of Babylon the Great of false religion, then the big A.

Clearly, if any elders who may be lurking, and wish to avoid legal ramifications the time to step down from eldership is NOW!!

Step down, or become totally incompetent for your subsequent removal. The legal walls could be collapsing in on you with nowhere to run.

There was a Walkill Bethelite years ago who was caught peeping at the airport and arrested. They traced his residence back to Bethel and showed up with a warrant to search his room. His personal closet was FULL of Child Sex Abuse material. He was a high-volume perpetrator.

Bethel DF'd him as quickly as possible at the jail to avoid the stigma that he was an active JW - well he was an active JW.

Personal closets were not cleaned by housekeepers, but they were shared by roomates. I never believed that others at Bethel didn't know that the guy was a serial child porn addict. Bethel keeps tabs on everyone there most of the time. It would be quite a challenge for his overseer and co-workers not to figure out that there was a problem.

He was sentenced to many years - I think he is still in prison.
