I remember that too, Princess. He was a real Johnny Cash fiend. I wonder if he remembers that, or would own up to it now.

So sad. I remember when they finally were able to marry, and had a son together. They must be devastated............Johnny and the boy, John Carter Cash.

Yep, don't know if he'd admit it today. That is what I was going to tell you on the phone by the way. It was the song Ring of Fire that made me call you, then I got sidetracked!

Awwww, this is sad. My first reaction when I saw this was the fact that Johnny had been so ill recently, as well. I just happened to catch the tail end of something about the Cash family a few months ago on the Country Channel, how a group of thugs had come into their home and terrorized them one night.

My hubby's a huge Johnny Cash fan and loved everything he did.....I only had a few favorite songs of his---mostly "I Walk The Line". A few years ago when I was still a Dub, the Cash Family was on TV and sang a rousing rendition of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken", and I was wishing I could sing along with them...it WAS a toe-tapper and a soul-stirrer.....but....a no-no.

I'm wishing the best for them along with you.....

    Hugs,

    Annie

    Will The Circle Be Unbroken

I was standing by my window,
On one cold and cloudy day
When I saw that hearse come rolling
For to carry my mother away

    Will the circle be unbroken
by and by, Lord, by and by
    There's a better home a-waiting
in the sky, Lord, in the sky

    I said to that undertaker
    undertaker please drive slow
for this lady you are carrying
Lord, I hate to see here go

    Will the circle be unbroken
by and by, Lord, by and by
    There's a better home a-waiting
in the sky, Lord, in the sky

Oh, I followed close behind her
Tried to hold up and be brave
But I could not hide my sorrow
When they laid her in the grave

    Will the circle be unbroken
by and by, Lord, by and by
    There's a better home a-waiting
in the sky, Lord, in the sky

I went back home, my home was lonesome
missed my mother, she was gone
all of my brothers, sisters crying
what a home so sad and lone

    Will the circle be unbroken
by and by, Lord, by and by
    There's a better home a-waiting
in the sky, Lord, in the sky

We sang the songs of childhood
Hymns of faith that made us strong
Ones that Mother Maybelle taught us
    Hear the angels sing along

    Will the circle be unbroken
by and by, Lord, by and by
    There's a better home a-waiting
in the sky, Lord, in the sky

    Will the circle be unbroken
by and by, Lord, by and by
    There's a better home a-waiting
in the sky, Lord, in the sky

Johnny Cash looks so old... and his music has spanned many generations. I used to hate him as a kid, but his new album really bridged a wide gap, even singing Nine Inch Nails songs... Even though I was a fan before this one, too....

Too bad about her death. It's really sad, and It sucks knowing that death will happen to all..... just reminds us of our own mortality...

    Have a great sleep, June.
