stan livedeath: what does it mean.." money spent on pioneers '?

    From JW website:

During the 2019 service year, Jehovah’s Witnesses spent over $224 million in caring for special pioneers, missionaries, and circuit overseers in their field service assignments.

After a quick glance it appears most of the growth is in the latin areas, Central & South America.

Mexico & Brazil alone = 1.7 million avg. publishers with 25.4k congregations & 3% growth

Compared to USA = 1.2 million avg. publishers with 12.6k congregations & 0% reported growth.

REALLY ????? In my time in those expenses were all covered by the local bros, apart from Stipends, which were a paltry few $$$, so is this huge figure a way of explaining away where some of the money has gone ?

Assuming there are around 40,000 special pioneers, missionaries, and circuit overseer, that’s less than $6000 per person each year, or $467 per month.

I’m sure a big part of the expense is health care.
