My wife just got her bill for her annual wherein she mentioned her hip was acting up. The 12 minute visit was double billed again as if she had made 2 visits. Her visits were billed at over $500 each. Her 12 minutes cost about $1050. Fortunately my deductible is already met. Meaning I'm not responsible for charges over $5000 per calendar year. The insurance kicks in fully at that point. Our employer pays about $18000/ year and we pay about $1500, and the $5000 deductible. I'm not complaining about my costs as I've racked up about $460000 in medical bills the last 2 years and personally only was responsible for about $15,000.
