Nicola Sturgeon's daft plan to introduce a gender Bill which allows anyone aged 16 and over to legally change gender without a doctor's diagnosis of gender dysphoria has rightly been stopped by PM Rishi Sunak.

Under the rules of devolvement, the UK government can overrule Holyrood if the PM so chooses.

Lots of predictable howling form the Scotch Nuts, with ridiculous claims that Rishi is trying to organise a fight with Holyrood. Of course, it's actually the other way round - the SNP has been trying to pass this gender Bill in order to drive a wedge between Scotland and the rest of the UK.

Sensibly, Rishi has pulled rank on Sturgeon and stopped her nonsense.

Nicola Sturgeon needs to know her place ...

So... gender is just a label, like your name? It can be changed by just signing a form and paying a fee?

Doesn't that discriminate against me, if I suddenly decide that I am a woman?

There is no such thing as 'gender' outside of linguistics. Just like our primate cousins, humans are a sexually dimorphic species.

Trans rights clash with women's rights.

The UK 2004 Act acknowledges that gender dysphoria is a medical disorder that requires the judgement and advice of qualified practitioners. The SNP Act treats it like a lifestyle choice to be celebrated. It offered no protection to women-only spaces or to organisations and clubs that legally limit services or membership to biological females. I doubt most Scots wanted this debacle.

    SNP are ideologically motivated buffoons.

    Yes it is.

This week in the US, a teenage girl complained about a transgender woman, which is to say a man, walking around a girls locker room naked, and she was properly shamed and chastised.

So, if a man exposes his genitals to young girls, he is likely arrested, and put on the sex offenders list. However if he does the same thing, and claims to be a woman, well then he is praised as a beacon of progressiveness.

    Got it now?

There’s Male and Female for humans. That is the biological norm. Even a Homosexual human of the past is biologically Male or Female.

Now we just have a bunch of effing lunatics who think Males can give birth. Idiots…..

That excuse for a politician has indeed driven a coach and horses through our UK equality Act, but the problem has been compounded by the Scottish courts. Because gender takes priority over sex now in Scotland. If a woman in a rape crises center in Scotland wishes to be examined by a female nurse and so refuses a trans woman, she can be prosecuted for being prejudiced. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Statistics prove that rates of violent offending for trans identified males remain the same as the general male population.

There are now rapists in Scotland recorded as female and placed in women's prisons. With sex offenders claiming to be women after conviction, then changing back to male on release.

Elizabeth Fry campaigned for single sex prisons 200 years ago, because prisons were mixed back then & women (& their children) were being assaulted. I cannot believe that we are regressing back to a time when the most vulnerable women in society are once again being put at risk.

This is not about being 'not being kind', this is about safeguarding for women and children above all else

My nephew now identifies as a woman. She's the same caring intelligent person, just now acting and looking like she always felt she should have. She's not a pervert or rapist. She left the WT because of bigoted comments like these.

brother -in-law spoke of kids in the local school identifying as cats and the school board saying they wouldn't be supply litter boxes! also one student identifying as dog and wouldn't talk but would bark. If one identifies with what they are actually not....can you blame others if they conclude these ones have mental issues?

Can males (who claim to be female) demand that beauticians offer them waxing services?

How many husbands/boyfriends would approve of their partner doing that?
