Funny is it not wherever a physical observation isn't clearly understood to its inherent occurrence that Creationists or theists say..... " See a supernatural being must have done this. its proof, its solid rock hard evidence "

Just because one doesn't clearly understand how nature operates, does not make for an intellectually honest or viable argument for a supernatural being as a grand overall creator of the universe.

The Watchtower will pick this up as their new favourite quote, even though these comments have almost nothing to do with the God of the Bible, as is not evidence of anything in particular.

Finkelstein: --"--Just because one doesn't clearly understand how nature operates,--

yeah, one does not understand now, but most likely someone did before, not only understood, but arranged it to be so.; even if that arrangement would be a random process governed by the laws on hand.

The complete quote of Finkelstein, immediately following what you quoted, which reads:

"...does not make for an intellectually honest or viable argument for a supernatural being as a grand overall creator of the universe"

Although perhaps you have some evidence to support the notion of a grand designer?

the existence of a grandly designed cosmos. a universe, life functioning as if on autopilot.

At the moment String Theory is a religion since it is impossible to even test or verify in any way.

Have you spoken to this designer? Of course you haven't. Therefore you have no basis to conclude this cosmos is designed. As others have often pointed out, not knowing something is not evidence of anything; other than not knowing something of course...

Yes a grand designer who makes nature self destroy what it creates such as stars like are own sun which will burn out eventually long into future, destroying all life on this planet, thats if it doesn't get hit by a huge asteroid first like it has in the past.

A Grand " Intelligent " design it is.

F :Yes a grand designer who makes nature self destroy what it creates such as stars--

very good point. If it would not be for all those past overlapping generation of now dead stars, we would not have oxygen, carbon, calcium --gold that makes our life possible. Also, would there have been life everlasting earlier for all, , we would not have evolved. The apparent intelligence of the maker, is more wise, success -orientated , yes, seemingly uncaring, than our own egocentric viewpoint allows for.

WSICM: Have you spoken to this designer? Of course you haven't.

He/She speaks to me through the works I live in. A great monument to achievement to be emulated. As a deist, I do not believe in a personal God, and speak to him. but given the immensity of the cathedral we live in, the energy locked up just in the matter, it would be an unimaginable experience, just looking out the window at the snowcapped mountain across the sea, is enough to shut me up, and just listen.
