    MINIMUS:

I hope all the various comments and experiences here give you a bigger picture as to why people join the Witness religion.

I'm not blaming you, but as somebody born-in your perspective is limited I'm afraid.

There's a danger of overgeneralizing of course, but I would like to add a couple of things, men (and women) are often looking for answers to life and if there's something that ties everything quite neatly together there's an attraction, men like games and puzzles a lot, so a people that claim to solve, Daniel, Ezekiel and REVELATION are HUGE, there was a time when alot of women were home alone with babies and small children, so regular company coming by was welcomed, for what it's worth those coming out of the territory were almost always pretty young and POOR,

I was born in. I did not choose this religion.

It did give me a lot of baggage to carry around for many years.

After reading all these nice responses I still say the same thing. Just don't do it. Don't join this religion and waste your time and precious assets.
