How long can you go without...

How long can you go without drinking one drop of alcohol, beer, wine, whatever contains alcohol?

In my case, it must be 5 years

I am really only a social drinker. Sometimes I drink to much.

On average I would say I drink once every 2 months.

I would say I over drink once every 6 months.

Not too big on alcohol, maybe because my father is an alcoholic. I seen the damage it does to people and their relationships.

i can live without it entirely. i prefer milk

I like a glass or two of wine with a meal. Don't much care for hard liquor and I really don't care much for drinking by itself or alone.

I can probably go about a year sometimes two years. Not a big drinker. But I can only go a week without chocolate.

Beer is good for you! It's made from things like grain and barley. Hey! It's cereal in a can and it makes you feel good too!

No wonder you're a happysistah! Me too!!!! But I also like a glass of wine with meals (best served with Big Tex).

Having said that, I greatly admire those of you who have looked addiction in the fact and said "no." You are strong people and your lives will be the better for it. I celebrate with you every day of your sobriety and wish you many more.
