    Funny, many of those quotes were attributed to Al Gore before Bush was elected;

    http://www.probush.com/stupid_gore_quotes.htm

    Edited to add: With a little checking, many of these were also attributed to Dan Quayle. Some were stated as jokes that were taken seriously. Although funny, it seems more likely to have come from Quayle as he was extremely uncomfortable speaking in public and more prone to trip over his own tongue.

    xenaW,

    I suspected that many of those statements did not originate with Dubla.

    Gawd, Rush Limbaugh was RIGHT. There are people out to destroy Dubla for no other reason than that they hate him, and think he's an illigitimate President.

    I support him as my President all the way, and I think he's 100% right with regards to the Iraq problem.

    He doesn't "show" that well, though; but "showing" was never a part of the job description in at least MY copy of the US Constitution.

    Apparently, some people think that "showing well" is part of the job of being US President. Clinton "showed" very, very well. He was a scumbag, a liar, and possibly a traitor. He and Algore (sic) nearly sold out this country by selling favors to the Communist Chinese, Hari Krishnas (anyone who offered them enough money) The Lincoln Bedroom was always available to the highest bidder. Cigars for salacious use, probably cost extra, though.

    I despise these men.

    Farkel is correct. Many, many of the quotes herein attributed to Bush actually came from Dan Quayle, some came from Al Gore and a variety of other politicians. In truth, George Bush said very few of the things attributed to him here.

    This is an example of the utter irresponsibility of so-called journalists.

    I suspect these quotes will continue to be attributed to whoever is unpopular. People are basically opportunistic liars.
