They started a lawsuit. I think the WTS decided to avoid publicity or bad feelings, and they gave it back. It's always a choice. They would have had to go to court, and the attorney for the family must have thought they had a good case. The woman who left the money to them, was really weird. They might have been arguing mental problems.
