WT Denies Anointed Have Special Divine Insight

The WT hierarchy seems to invalidate their "anointed" members, in print, by the following quote:

Watchtower 1991 March 15, page 22. "Who Really Have a Heavenly Calling"

" Professing to have a heavenly calling does not bring a person special revelations. God has a channel of communication through which he provides spiritual food for his earthly organization. (Matthew 24:45-47) So nobody should think that being an anointed Christian gives him wisdom superior to that of the "great crowd" with the earthly hope. (Revelation 7:9) Spirit anointing is not indicated by proficiency in witnessing, answering Scriptural questions, or giving Bible talks, for Christians with the earthly hope also do very well in these respects."

Isn't this WT quote shocking?

Especially considering that all members of the JW Governing Body profess to be anointed.... And considering that the WT teaches that the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class" is made up of the collective group of "anointed" JWs on earth....

If the anointed do not have any:

"special revelations"

OR

'superior wisdom'

then it makes sense that neither does the JW Governing Body or the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class", since they all profess to be 'God's anointed'.

If the WT says that the "anointed" do not have:

"wisdom superior to that of the "great crowd"

WHY are the "anointed" in charge supervising and governing the entire JW religion.....

Also, if:

"anointing is not indicated by proficiency in witnessing, answering Scriptural questions, or giving Bible talks"

then that disproves JWs, the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class" and their Governing Body, since they all pride themselves in their numbers and success in preaching, publishing Scriptural literature and giving Bible talks.

If the "anointed" do not possess any special divine insight then the religious doctrine that the "anointed" teach cannot be of any special divine origin........... as they claim it is.

Good catch and observations. I think that just about proves that the WTS has no clue what they are saying or talking about.

I bet they published that to show themselves "humble servants" and/or to try to ward-off any "fake anointed" from joining in the Anointed Club thinking they may then become "more spiritual/insightful" or whatever... However, in publishing that, the WT obviously didn't realize it was shooting itself in the foot, LOL!

The first two sentences are conflicting and typical of JW double-speak; that is, assuming that all anointed are equal. That is the official position of the FDS. However, as we all know, some anointed are more equal than others.

I suspect this statement was published to "put younger (newly) anointed" in their place. The old boys who comprise the GB do not want competition. They want no rivals to their authority.

Since the Watchtower Printing Corporation claims that the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" is solely the "anointed Christians" it can only be deduced that their "wisdom" (even though they are supposed to speak for God as the FDS) is bullshit.

Let the reader use discernment: what is really being said here is simply this: The GB IS God's mouthpiece, and the other "anointed" around the world are merely their excuse to justify the GB's existence. The rest of the anointed are just a bunch of fools the GB uses to justify their own life and existence. By this statement, the GB is saying the "rest" of the FDS (the non-existent FDS who are anointed also) are just a bunch of dummies.

Dubs believe this. Dubs are idiots. The GB plays them like violins at the best concert, and they get away with it. So far. Things are changing.
