The extent of Joannadandy's Gambling Career

    • One scratch off on my 18th birthday--yes I was still a dub. (Also bought cigars and a playgirl and then went and voted...can you tell I was having doubts already? Hee hee!)
    • My first trip to a casino, shortly after my 18th birthday, I put a nickle in the nickle slots--ooh high roller!

Two Times Joannadandy Should Have Been a Betting Woman

    • Last year I picked Maryland to go all the way in the NCAA tournament. I was telling everyone at the office-go with Maryland!! No one did, and I was too chicken to join the pool, cuz frankly my success with the NCAA is stinky at best. My brother in law explained to me how much money I could have made had I made a Vegas bet early on....*sigh*
    • Went to the racetrack in Florida, out of the eight races I watched that day I picked the winner in six of them. I told my brother in law, to which he said "wow, how much money did you make" I said "I didn't bet" he said "You suck!" Hee hee!

Honestly, gambling makes me nervous. I am wuss. I can't even have fun watching other people gamble because all I can think is, "oh man, you could have used that money for this or that" Once I watched my boyfriend play black jack, he only spent like 25 bucks, but it made me ill to watch him lose.

So who wants to go to Vegas with me? Hee hee!

I buy a lotto ticket most weeks.

I only bet on the horses when there's a big race on like the Melbourne Cup or something. I can never figure out how the betting works.

Occasionally go to the Casino for a bit of fun, but not often.

Yep, I've become a Powerball junkie...but as they say, somebody always wins (in contrast to our "we're going to live forever "x" jw friend's belief that they will - and only them). The thing that always got me was how the idependently wealthy brothers would "play" the stock market (in my mind truly just a form of gambling) but in the next breath condemn anyone who may have dropped a buck in lotto or a coin in a slot machine.

I buy the scratch-offs and I knew several witnesses who played lotto when I was in.

Anyway, do you simply love the horses and greyhounds or do you love betting on them?

Yes, the extent of my gambling is going to Atlantic City in the summer, sitting at the 25cent slots for an hour make a couple hundred dollars while getting a really wicked buzz from the free drinks in the casino, then find my way to the boardwalk..........flirting my @$$ off!.....hey, you gotta have some fun!!.....rocky220

At odds of 14million to one against winning the Brittish lottery ? No thank you . Perhaps I am a pessimist with things like that but I can only see myself losing.

Mind you, I have dropped the silly prejudice against fun things like the office sweepstake on the Grand National or the World Cup Football - and my premium bond won 50 last month - Highroller!
