"The Little Girl" By John Michael Montgomery:

"Her parents never took the young girl to church. Never spoke of his name, never read her his word.

Two non-belivers walking lost in this world took their baby with them what a sad little girrrrl. Her daddy drank all day and her mommy did drugs never wanted to play, or give kisses and hugs. She'd watch the TV and sit there on the couch while her mom fell asleep and her daddy went out.

And the drinking and the fighting just got worse every night. Behind their couch she'd be hiding - Oh! what a sad little life.

And like it alwasy does; the bad just got worse, with every slap, and every curse. Untill her daddy, in a drunk rage one night used a gun on her mom, and then took his life.

And some people from the city took the girl far away. To a new mom and a new dad. Kisses and hugs everyday.

Her first day of Sunday school the teacher walked in, and small little girl stared at a picture of Him. She said I know that man up there on that cross. I don't know his name, but I know he got off.

Because he was there in my old house and held me close to his side. As I hid there behind our couch the night my parents died."

    So sad.

To Where You Are, by Josh Grobin. (song was written by Richard Marx) The song is about a woman who has died and he is wanting to go where she is.

"............who can say for certain, maybe you're still here. you are mine forever now, and you are watching over me from up above. fly me up to where you are beyond the distant star, my wish upon tonight to see you smile, if only for awhile............"

The Rose always does it to me too. My cousin Sharon was "the rose" in our family, and she died last year. I always tear up now when I hear this song.

Time to Say Good Bye, sung by Andrea Bocelli. We played that at Sharon's memorial.

There is another song from Ally McBeal, sung by Vonda Shepherd, about Memories in my Photographs? Something like that.

How about My Heart Will Go On, from Titanic, sung by Celine Dion.

How Do I Live, by Leanne Rimes and/or Trish Yearwood

    Mulan,

Could you song be the same as the one I like?

    Traces

    Faded photograph,
Covered now with lines and creases,
    Tickets torn in half,
    Memories in bits and pieces.
    Traces of love long ago
    That didn't work out right;
    Traces of love.

    Ribbons from here hair,
    Souvenirs of days together,
The ring she used to wear,
Pages from an old love letter.
    Traces of love long ago
    That didn't work out right;
Traces of love with me tonight.

I close my eyes and say a prayer
That in her heart she'll find
a trace of love still there somewhere.

    Music interlude

Traces of hope in the night
That she'll come back and dry
These traces of tears from my eyes.

I love "I Can't Make You Love Me", by Bonnie Rait, too. There's nothing worse than unrequited love

I Can't Make You Love Me

    (M. Reid/A. Shamblin)

Turn down the lights, turn down the bed
Turn down these voices inside my head
Lay down with me, tell me no lies
Just hold me close, don't patronize - don't patronize me

CHORUS: Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't

I'll close my eyes, then I won't see
The love you don't feel when you're holding me
Morning will come and I'll do what's right
Just give me till then to give up this fight
And I will give up this fight

CHORUS: Cause I can't make you love me if you don't
You can't make your heart feel something it won't
Here in the dark, in these lonely hours
I will lay down my heart and I'll feel the power
But you won't, no you won't
'Cause I can't make you love me, if you don't

    sigh.....

    "Diary" by Bread
"Rape of the World" by Tracy Chapman
"Don't Take the Girl" by Tim McGraw
and definitely "As Long as You Love(Scarlet Wings)" by Cindy Bullens. It was written when her 10-yr old daughter died from cancer. Very sad.

As Long As You Love (Scarlet Wings)
Words & Music by Cindy Bullens

Time has a different meaning now
Since you found your scarlet wings
    Forever seems like yesterday
But only angels know these things

I can hear your voice sometimes at night
And it echoes through the day
When my soul cries out from missing you
    I remember what you say

    As long as you love
You will see me in the stars
As you look up at the stars
    I will be there

    As long as you love
I will whisper in your ear
    Little whispers you will hear
    As long as you love
    As long as you love

You are standing here beside me now
As I watch the children play
To those of us you left behind
    You are never far away

Even heaven cannot hold your heart
    For no boundaries love allows
So little angel spread those scarlet wings
As you whisper to me now

    As long as you love
You will feel me in the sun
In the warming of the sun
    I will be there

    As long as you love
    You will understand the rain
You must bless the falling rain
    As long as you love

    As long as you love
You will see me in the stars...

Very haunting, as Bullen's other daughter sings the chorus.

ok. can't remember name of the song. but it's by Pearl Jam. About a guy who lost his girl in a car accident.

"tell me where or where can my baby be.... the lord took her away me."

something, , , something,,,,"so i got to be good, so i can see my baby when i leave, this world".

kills me i can't remember name of song.

Other one that makes me cry: WITHOUT YOU. [it SCREAMS co-dependency]

"I can't live, if living is without you....I can't give- i can't give anymore." Donny Osmond just released a remake of this one and of course, being a donny fan, i cry every time i hear it.
