Jim, you didn't answer me as to why this matters so much to you. What is your purpose in it?

I lose nothing by not looking at the sites, one way or the other. I received first hand information on it, remember?

As far as the actual killing, there were other methods besides gassing used to kill. The Nazis were looking for the most efficient and cost saving methods.

I am puzzled that you readily admit it happened, yet seem to want to minimize it. That is what I don't understand.

As to what "they" say, may I ask just who is "they?" What is their agenda? Nothing in Auschitz has been touched and it has been left to the elements, so where is any proof of refitting? In Dachau, the former Officers Mess is now a museum with original photos. The barracks were torn down and just two rebuilt, in original manner, but cleaner. I suspect that was done due to infestation and such. Still, the air of what happened there is thick.

I will scan and post some photos, if you wish, but be forewarned, they are quite graphic. These cannot be retouched to make it appear as they are something they are not.

    JJ,

Health reasons???? You gas people with Zyclon B for health reasons? You dont need OVENS to dispose of a 'couple' of bodies!!! Havnt you even seen the films of the mass piles of bodies??? Once again, are you on crack???????????????

Jim, I can only ask what is your problem? You still readily admit that lots of people died. Does it matter if they were gassed or shot or starved to death? Does it being maybe 1.1 million versus up to six million make that big of a difference?

Truth be know, the actual number will never be determined.

Who is to say the first hand accounts are now unreliable? What makes them so unreliable, today?

I am not challenging you, just trying to understand what your purpose is.

Jim, my advice is to be very careful where you look for verification. Some have a deadly agenda and we can easily fall prey to it.

Look at to why they question it also. If it is a group that has notoriuosly hated another group, do we really trust their claims? Would be trust the claims of the KKK as to claims of civil rights workers? I hope not.

History is a fascinating subject, I enjoy it too. But, revisionist history sometimes has an agenda that we must be careful of also.

As I stated in my thread with the pictures, the actual numbers are not really that relevant, nor is the various methods used to kill innocents. What matters is that it did happen and should never be allowed to happen again. But, I fear that these sites you have read may be an initial step in the denial of it ever happening at all. There are still Nazi groups alive and well right here in the US who would like nothing more than to finish what Hitler started. Anything stated by them should be viewed with a great deal of scepticism, if not outright ignored, in my opinion.

It is good to question things, Jim, just be very cautious with some of the answers.

    Lew:

Yours was a very reasoned and measured response in a highly emotional thread. I also appreciated the thoughts of others, such as Spanner, Island Woman, and more who tried in vain to encourage Jim not to accept the word of those who have a bias.

I especially appreciated the thoughts of "bigboi" who - as I understand it - is a black male:

The Holocaust is memeorialized largely through the efforts of fellow Jews. They've kept the issue at the forefront and refuse to let it become a mere footnote in history. IMO, that is one of the greatest acts of public service that's ever happened. ... Events likethe Holocaust have spurred them on to face these bigotires head on and in doing that they provide a model for all minority groups anywhere all over the world. IMO, there's nothing wrong with a group of ppl using their resources to protect the memory of victims and to prevent another catastrophe of that sort from happening ever again.

    (Bold mine)

I was unable to get a straight response from Jim about what crimes young Jewish children had committed that would condemn them to being used in medical experiments. He also ignored posts by those who had seen with their own eyes the mass graves. I wonder how he might feel if he personally visited those camps, rather than reading about them on anti-Jewish web-sites.

I am actually grateful Jim has posted his thoughts here. He did more to argue against the Holocaust Revisionist thinking than myself or any other opposer could accomplish. His wild use of pronouns ("they" now say...), his misuse of statistics, his linking of unabashed anti-Jewish sites, his dancing around direct and honest questions...all serves a valuable purpose: holding this hate-ridden filth up to the light of truth and the fresh air of scruitiny where it will wither and die as it should. Minimizing the torture and systematic murder of men, women, and little children is pornography of the worst sort.
