Just thought I'd share this email, I recieved.

In light of the many perversions and jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke, it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding the attacks on Sept. 11). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.

And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?" In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.

Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school ...the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK. Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Then someone said teachers and principals better not discipline our children when they misbehave. The school administrators said no faculty member in this school better touch a student when they misbehave because we don't want any bad publicity, and we surely don't want to be sued (there's a big difference between disciplining, touching, beating, smacking, humiliating, kicking, etc.). And we said OK.

Then someone said, let's let our daughters have abortions if they want, and they won't even have to tell their parents. And we said OK. Then some wise school board member said, since boys will be boys and they're going to do it anyway, let's give our sons all the condoms they want so they can have all the fun they desire, and we won't have to tell their parents they got them at school. And we said OK.

Then some of our top elected officials said it doesn't matter what we do in private as long as we do our jobs. Agreeing with them, we said it doesn't matter to me what anyone, including the President, does in private as long as I have a job and the economy is good. Then someone said let's print magazines with pictures of nude women and call it wholesome, down-to-earth appreciation for the beauty of the female body. And we said OK.

And then someone else took that appreciation a step further and published pictures of nude children and then further again by making them available on the Internet. And we said OK, they're entitled to free speech.

Then the entertainment industry said, let's make TV shows and movies that promote profanity, violence, and illicit sex. Let's record music that encourages rape, drugs, murder, suicide, and satanic themes. And we said it's just entertainment, it has no adverse effect, nobody takes it seriously anyway, so go right ahead.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW." Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

    Are you laughing?

Hell, I'm laughing my ass off. Funny, how none of the above mentioned existed here on earth until "man" booted God out of the picture.

It's amazing how we see only what we want to see. Let us forget how horribly violent religious persecution was for the many that did not submit to the crusades. yes yes, god the gentleman, ha ha ha. it is to laugh.

    Tashawaa,

Why did the young men who decided to fly a plane and murder so many people do what they did; Who's glory and did they believe they were showing dedication to?

Because they did the hate filled act in the name of God and they believed it just...Did it make it right?

Is it right to preach hate of one group or all other groups in the name of God? (I say no. ALL Such groups should be opposed.)

Where did they (the "high"jackers) go and what did they do just prior to doing the act of murder?

Are you (Graham) saying that America and American's is "anti-Deity?" I ask the same of the rest of the world. Some 80 Countires were attacked. What did they do or not do to have God trun on them? (I have to disagree this was not about God; It was about hate in the name of God.)

Even when speaking of an Atheist some of them are the finest examples of what it is to be "christian" that I have ever met.

I think that what the "Graham'inits" like some "other" groups who constantly point out all of the world's flaws while doing nothing about their own personal or groups flaws are so mad about is that people are every day deciding that it is what they as an individual do and not what a "socal movement" does that they are responsible for. We are deciding for ourselves what it (God) is to us. We are outgrowing the need to belong to a building with men inside telling us the way to "Six Flags" (paradise) all the while they have never been there and can not produce a map that goes anywhere. (Why should they be exlusively believed.)

I find what "Graham" says is barbaric.

If God allowed, or created it as punishment, (Which I do not accept) then God needs to be put to trial and go to jail or be put to death just like any other thug or murderer. (Anyone seen him lately?)

Tashawaa, I know that these were Graham's words and not yours so I am responding to the message not the messenger. OK :)

I agree with the email and about the message. I present this information with love and not to start arguements but rather answer questions that are brought to everyone on this site. We are told to love our enemies in the bible by Jah-Eshua yes? We are told to 'test out the inspired expression to see if it originates with Jah-Eshua or not,' yes? (1 John 4:1-14) How can we blame God when He so abundantly made it clear that he does not approve or slaughtering innocent lives? Who really is to blame if these people say they did this 'hate crime' in the name of God yet they themselves did not sit back and 'test out the inspired expression' as God instructed us to do when recieving whatever message they recieved that they did NOT test out but accepted it without question? As far as those that 'sit back and go to paradise at six flags instead of standing up and fighting,' what have you done to prevent this 911 from occuring, except posing questions and demanding to put God on trial when in actuality God has already made it clear what we ought to do in order to prevent this? (test out the inspired expression, be loving towards our enemies and be Christ-like or God-like. If we are to be "God-like" then perhaps the question at hand is 'Since in the beginning there was only Love (God) and Hate (death) and we are told to be like love and to practice love and we refuse and ignor to do so...and we continue to put God out of our lives and He has granted our wishes and only those that do His will does he get invovled with because all others have pushed him out how can we sit back and blame him when if ALL (keyword) would just LISTEN and obey His commandments would our peace be like the sea?' And did you do something? did you fight it? If so did it prevent 9/11 from occuring? Instead of pointing the finger at God ...should we nto sit back and take a look in the mirror? If everyone would do this and obey what God has taught us would 9/11 have occured? I pose these questions to show your hyporcy that you see not in your heart. I hope this brings light to this post and the message presented is not overlooked because of Truth about us that is concealed within but rather accepted. God definately is not to blame for this...If anything we are, including those that did this. If i have spoken untruthfull, I will render an account for it, But if i speak Truth...then why should you or anyone else blame God and/or his messengers? Now here is where YOU'RE faith comes in...are you going to 'test out the inspired expression?' OR are you going to be like the terrorist and not do this and persecute the Almighty therefore sin against Him, His Son and the messenger? Seeing how Sin is SIN regardless of what it is...it is equal are we any different from the terrorist by this standard if we're sinning against the most high and putting Him to the test and blaming Him for this? ~FS

I think those things happened due to lack of security in the public schools and on the airlines .I am against public school prayer myself simply because there is no national religion. To say that these things could have been avoided because of religion is ludicrous.

I agree with you about the religion factor, however you misunderstood what the spirit of Truth has spoken. For it is written 'I am the way the Truth and the life, no one goes through the Father except through me' (John 14:6) ...All religion claims to be Truth as the spirit on this website has repeatedly said. Keep in mind ...test out the inspired expression for it is written in John 10:8 "All those that have come in place of me are theives and plunderers; but the sheep have not listened to them" ...Remember what Truth is? (John 14:6) It is the Christ. And if all religion proclaims to be TRUTH...then they are coming place of Him that which IS Truth. They are theives and plunderers. Also luke 21:8 "He (Christ) said: "Look out that you are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, 'I am HE' ... (and here's the message:) Do not go after them." I bid you peace and hope that Jah and His Son Jah-Eshua bless you for your efforts to seek out Truth (the Christ). I thank you for bringing out my error in not posting this in addition to that which ahd been posted...i failed to address that I agree with the message of the email...that which speaks that God is not to blame...but i do not agree with the religion factor. I apologize for not making this clear. Thank you Heathen

: Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

"Today's children have no respect for authority, no respect for the law and no respect for their parents. They are rebellious disobedient and our society is much the worse for it"

This a paraphrase of a statement made by Socrates (470 BC - 399 BC) over four HUNDRED years before Jesus and his disciples came along and warned us about the very same thing.

Now 2,400 years later people are singing the same tune. A few people or a few kids go bad and religionists tell us the world has gone to shit. In another 2,400 years, they'll be singing the same tune.

Fiveshadows- I'm a little confused here ,are you saying you agree or disagree with the point on religious rituals in public schools?

  • Iwasyoungonce

    Fiveshadows,

I disagree with the Email because it says to me that God abandoned us. I say bull to that. I have not lost my faith in him nor him in me. Period. (On that)

In our school systems we need to continue to teach people how to think and not what to think. We have to be vigulant in this because there is always someone wanting to take that ability away. This was my point to the "Six Flags" thing. Relgiondum has for to long taught that "this" is what God is and this is what you must do. Worship the "Church." I reject that. And, I reject that by doing that I reject God or that anyone is abandoned for doing so.

Well, on second thought I guess some churchmen do don't they.

As far as the rest of what you said I'm not exactly clear what you mean so this is as far as I go.

Specifically, here's why this pisses me off ...

Again we're back to the "blessing and protection" of God for our "works" are up to par.

How nice of God to be a "gentleman" and leave us alone... especially with all irrefutable evidence that he existed to begin with.

Her comments link the murder of Madeleine and suicide of Dr. Spock's son with their actions, namely, no prayer in school (whose God do you pray to?!?!) and not using non-physical means of discipline with children. I'm assuming then, that all those that allow the Lord into their lives are safe from murderers and mental illnesses, depression, etc. that may cause one to take their own life.?!?

Sorry, I don't want a teacher or school administrator touching my kid. There are alot of people out there that don't know the difference between a "spanking" and "beating", and quite frankly, I don't think either are necessary.

I don't believe I'd have an abortion, but "thank God" that I live in a country that allows that choice for the women out there that felt it was necessary. I won't judge them until I walked a mile in their shoes. Oh, these girls having abortions - are they the ones with parents that feel its OK to spank???

Hand out the condomns... STDs exist, and so does sex. Speaking of which, what I do in private is non of anyone's business as long as I do my job.

The idea of nude women and men is to stimulate our sexual desires (ooohhh, I said a bad word) and they should look at it some time. It works.

I agree with the Child Pornography part, but I don't believe this has been legalized anywhere. As far as I know, the police and gov'ts are trying to stop this activity. Correct me if I'm wrong. Its still a criminal activity.

Our "violent" TV programs are all "make-believe"... should we go back to the good ole' days of Roman Gladiators, watching criminals hung and heathens burned (by the christians), jousting, etc.???

Just a note... the middle-east has the most "moral" people in the world... they "stone" adulteresses (not men), cut off their hands for stealing, beat their children, keep their wives in subjection, ban all immoral TV, etc.
