The best beer I ever had was way back in 1985 when we visited London Bethel and ate next door at the Adam and Eve pub. I had my first British beer with my sandwich and it was wonderful. I'm not talking about the alcohol content (although I did have to sit and contemplate the cows in the pasture for a while after lunch since I had trouble standing!), but it was the taste. It was not as bitter as American beer, it was heavier certainly but it was also smoother. Great brew and I'm sorry we can't get it here in the States. I've tried. I found a liquor store that sold Bishop's Finger, and it was close but not exactly the same taste. Oh well. At least I don't live in Oklahoma. Their beer is 3.2%. Talk about watering down beer . . . . .
