SS, George Bush's dad, when he was President, made that sign to the cameras while he was here in Oz, thinking it was a peace sign - you should have seen the media comments! LOL

Anyway, Qwerty sent me the pic - here it is:

The peace sign is given hand facing forward ... the back of his hand is facing us ... it also looks like he is holding a pencil while he is flipping off the camera ... likely pissed at having to take notes ... and if you look at his arms, he is also giving the European-style flip-off to make sure we do not misunderstand the message ... LOL ... perfect.

The fact that he is holding his arm at the elbow AND is puffing out his cheeks - probably blowing a raspberry - pretty well proves that HE knows what he's saying!

Now, we know Bethel monitors this board - do you think this discussion will cause a minor panic in the Art Dept? LOL

Do they have product recalls of Awakes?

What's the caption for this pic, BTW, Qwerty? Sometimes the caption can be funnier than the pic!

    Steph, could it be:

" Six-year-old mistakes the true meaning of "convention" and gives the conventional 3 - way greeting to Jehovah's Witnesses "

Good grief! With all the $$ the WT has, couldn't they at least afford to rent some CHAIRS for these people?

The kid may be holding three pencils, two in the one hand forming the Vee. In that case it may have passed the inspection test prior to publication. The poorer quality of this printed version makes it apear he's doing the vees to the photographer. What ever the case it's pretty funny. (This English gesticular expression supposedly dates back to Agincourt and was used by English bowmen to flip off the French by showing they had their two fingers for drawing the string.)

As jj noted I noticed the bored expressions on everyone' s faces. Perhaps the speaker is droning on about the dangers of VCRs, DVDs and the Internet to an audience who barely understand the product references let alone own one.
