OMG Funchback! You've got Rabies, Bubonic plague, West Nile Virus, and a whole bunch of other nasty things!!!

If you don't go to the hospital and have your stomach pumped and get five thousand shots in your stomach and eye ball... you're going to die!!!

It happened in October 1989, so yea, that was probably then! It was in all the papers and on the news-our whole staff had been exposed as a result of an owner bringing in their cat who had been lost for awhile. It's a long story. But, in my case I couldn't recall if this specific cat had bitten or scratched me, but Dr. M. insisted I go to be treated.

    Okay! Okay!

I called my Physician and he suggested that I go to the ER and have the bite scrubbed. I am going to go tonight.

I still hope I can become Squirrelman! LOL!

Thanks for all of the advice and concern, everyone!

Funch, you'll be fine. Speaking of Squirrelman, I found these two links for some possible costumes when you start to morph into a squirrel.

I once got bit by a squirrel. It was one of those grey things that we imported from the US about a hundred years ago, that has virtually killed of our resident red squirrel population.

About an hour after the bite, I started to speak with an American accent, hankered after apple pie and now drive everwhere on the wrong side of the road.

Apart from that, the effects of the bite were negligible.

Oh great squirrelman... that is all we need is a nut running around in a squirrel suit. Even worse if he gets into to it with a bad guy he may be a squirelman holding his nuts. KIDDDING

BTW get that thing looked at, before it gets infected.

Did some more checking on lagomorphs, squirrels and rabies. Although it is possible for a squirrel to be rabid, the possibility is very small since, in order to be infected, a squirrel would have to survive an attack by a much larger, rabid animal. The chances of that are remote, which is why you almost never find a squirrel that is rabid.
