A WT "prophecy" that finally came true?

    At long last, after 140 years of failed prophecies, it appears that the borg finally got one right! Recall the odd little article published back in the November 15th, 2013 wt about the 7 Shepherds 8 Dukes (anti-type) and the “evil Assyrian” (anti-type) and some silly nonsense about the Assyrian’s attack on the ‘vulnerable’ wtbts. Page 20 paragraph 17 of that strange article contained this foreboding “prophecy” from the “faithful and discreet slave”, (anti-type);

“At that time, the life-saving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.”

Well, that time came less than a year later for jehober’s people to ‘receive direction from jehober’s ORGANIZATION that was NOT practical, was NOT sound, and was NOT strategic from a human standpoint’. And, we were “ready to obey ANY instructions” and we did (at least here in the USA)

So how was this “not practical, not sound, not strategic prophecy” fulfilled?

    Dear Brothers,

Please send us all your cash that’s in the congregation’s bank account, deed all kingdom halls to the borg, and send us a monthly tithe equal to the amount of your former kh ‘mortgage’ payment—for life.

    Warm Christian love—the gb!

    just saying!

    Funny but true.

It seems the WTS is trying to solidify its financial assets, just in case the organization falls over on itself with its many false doctrines which it was actually built up on.

A common situation when an organization was built up pretentiously and falsely with an agenda of exploitation and corruption. .

There is only so much lying and bullshitting the general public can take.

Judge Rutherford got it right then and it is still right now when he said,

"Religion is a snare and a racket."

Geez, was he a forward thinker. I could see him running Hillsong today.

Hence why he stole a religion to line his own pockets!

Most of this recent money grab has to do with the organization trying to make its Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls more attractive to the public eyes. A modernization retrofit to appeal to the masses.

A recent KH was built where I live and it looks like a modern commercial building complete with monitors on the stage , security cameras everywhere. Was the recent sale of the buildings in Brooklyn New York and the new facilitates built in Warwick the instantiating factor to this new modernization ?

    I think it is.

In the old days it was the literature and the urgent message of Armageddon to attract people to the organization and stimulate the literature distribution. The organization now knows it cant proceed with that same compelling and influencing agenda.

I also think it has become more of a focus to the WTS. of its real estate holdings and their value that has drawn itself its own attention. When its realized that renovating is only going to increase the value of those properties just like the properties the Org. sold off in Brooklyn. The WTS wins in both circumstances by making their buildings more attractive to the public but also increasing their market value.

Just out of interest here's what the WTS. made in its sales of the properties it sold off in Brooklyn and it still owns properties there, not to mention the dozen or more Branches it sold off around the world. The WTS is on a agenda to make itself very rich in the foreseeable future.

    Self-fulfilling "prophecies" don't count.

    That being said...

...with regards to impractical, unsound, or non-strategic instructions, I have every confidence that we ain't seen nothin' yet.
