Umm, don't know why I hadn't noticed this before. Thanks Comf for the picture of his painting. Can you see the yin and yang in his painting?...Right over a Church. Is this not significant, or what?

Survivor, I posted this once before, in a different thread on suicide, but am posting it again in recognition of your friends. A beautiful song addressing an awful subject, expressing the thoughts of the survivors.

Truth Calling (For Sheila, her family and friends)

The words you wrote spilled like a poet's to the page,
Your eyes lit up as lovers met across a stage,
The warmth we saw in you came from deep within,
But the tenderness we cling to was a blanket for your pain.

The stars I gaze upon seem different since that day,
While one shines brighter, another fades away,
You light up the winter sky, the moon at your command,
Convinced you didn't mean it--but your soul had different plans.

This is truth calling, makes its way to me,
And this is love falling, falling at our feet.

She was your sister, your neighbour, she was your daughter, your carer.
She was your mother, your sharer, she was your friend, your lover.

The bowing heads of many hold your image in their minds,
The endless search for answers occupy the time,
Gazing at the pictures, with eyes they fail to see
Why in a moment, robbed of reason, you embraced eternity.

Don Maclean's true classic 'American Pie' had many people wondering about the symbolism in the lyrics. Maclean was asked by a fan one day, "What do the words mean?'. He answered, 'They mean I will never have to work again'.

His grammatical luck never fell into my lap!

    Survivor...

I have always loved that picture Starry Night by Vincent. The words to the song makes one think.

I have often thought that it took a weak minded person to take there own life, but NOW I think it takes in Reality a very strong person in a weak moment to end there life.

Those left behind can only imagine the depths of despair one must feel when they by there own hand take that last journey.

    Into the UNKNOWN...
