EXCELLENT points! Whenever the WTB&TS is criticized for their failure to act, they say they're just "waiting on Jehovah," even when there is NO scriptural basis for such inaction. As was pointed out, they don't "wait on Jehovah" when it comes to getting the supreme court to give them peddler's rights.
They didn't "wait on Jehovah" to miraculously establish their right not to salute the flag in the USA.
They didn't "wait on Jehovah" to get Judge Rutherford out of prison.
They have a shitload of attorneys chomping at the bit to NOT "wait on Jehovah."
But we can expand the concept even further, can't we?
Why doesn't "Jehovah's Organization" "wait on Jehovah" when a man in Calgary Canada decides that his child should receive life-giving medical treatment? Don't they have faith that their "god of the resurrection" can see into the young girl's heart and reward her for the faithfulness she wanted to display? Why is it so damn important that the girl must die NOW?
When DID they "wait on Jehovah"?
Maybe when their brothers in Malawi were being beaten, raped and murdered - after all, Malawi is a long way from Brooklyn, and those Aftican Brothers - well, you know.
When communist Red China begins beating and murdering Chinese JWs in the near future, you can bet your socks that the WTS will be willing to "wait on Jehovah" then, too. After all, China's a long way from Brooklyn, and those Chinese Brothers - well, you know.
