Great response by my brother to my JW Family

A little background, I have been very outspoken, in my support of silentlambs to the majority of my JW family, I have passed along many news articles, press releases etc via e-mail. My little brother is in fade mode, is an ex-MS.

This is what my aunt and uncle sent me in response to one silentlambs post:

See below, 1Sam.2:12-17 & 22-34, just in case you
haven't read it lately. Here it is showing that when
some one is doing what Jehovah doesn't appove of, that
He does take care of matters in His due time.
(1 Samuel 2:12-17) Now the sons of E'li were
good-for-nothing men; they did not acknowledge
Jehovah. 13 As for the due right of the priests from
the people, whenever any man was offering a sacrifice,
an attendant of the priest came with the three-pronged
fork in his hand, just when the meat was boiling, 14
and made a thrust into the basin or the two-handled
cooking pot or the caldron or the one-handled cooking
pot. Anything that the fork might bring up the priest
would take for himself. That is the way they would do
in Shi'loh to all the Israelites coming there. 15
Also, before ever they could make the fat smoke, an
attendant of the priest came and said to the man
sacrificing: "Do give meat to roast for the priest so
that he may receive from you, not boiled meat, but
raw." 16 When the man would say to him: "Let them be
sure to make the fat smoke first of all. Then take for
yourself just whatever your soul may crave," he
actually said: "No, but you should give it now; and,
if not, I shall have to take it by force!" 17 And the
sin of the attendants came to be very great before
Jehovah; for the men treated the offering of Jehovah
    with disrespect.
(1 Samuel 2:22-34) And E'li was very old, and he had
heard of all that his sons kept doing to all Israel
and how they would lie down with the women that were
serving at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 23 And
he used to say to them: "Why do YOU keep doing things
like these? For the things I am hearing about YOU from
all the people are bad. 24 No, my sons, because the
report is not good that I am hearing, that the people
of Jehovah are causing to circulate. 25 If a man
    should sin against a man, God will arbitrate for him;
but if it is against Jehovah that a man should sin,
who is there to pray for him?" But they would not
listen to the voice of their father, because Jehovah
was now pleased to put them to death. 26 All the while
the boy Samuel was growing bigger and more likable
both from Jehovah's standpoint and from that of men.
27 And a man of God proceeded to come to E'li and say
to him: "This is what Jehovah has said, 'Did I not for
a fact reveal myself to the house of your forefather
while they happened to be in Egypt as slaves to the
house of Phar'aoh? 28 And there was a choosing of him
out of all the tribes of Israel for me, to act as
priest and go up upon my altar to make sacrificial
smoke billow up, to bear an eph'od before me, that I
might give to the house of your forefather all the
offerings made by fire of the sons of Israel. 29 Why
do YOU men keep kicking at my sacrifice and at my
offering that I have commanded [in my] dwelling, and
you keep honoring your sons more than me by fattening yourselves from
the best of every offering of Israel my people? 30 "'That is why the
utterance of Jehovah the God of Israel is: "I did indeed say, As for
your house and the house of your forefather, they will walk before me to
time indefinite." But now the utterance of Jehovah is: "It is
unthinkable, on my part, because those honoring me I shall honor, and
those despising me will be of little account." 31 Look! Days are coming
when I shall certainly chop off your arm and the arm of the house of
your forefather, so that there will not come to be an old man in your
house. 32 And you will actually look upon an adversary [in my] dwelling
amid all the good that is done to Israel; and never will there come to
be an old man in your house. 33 And yet there is a man of yours that I
shall not cut off from being at my altar so as to cause your eyes to
fail and to make your soul pine away; but the greater number of your
house will all die by the sword of men. 34 And this is the sign for you
that will come to your two sons, Hoph'ni and Phin'e.has: On one day both
    of them will die.

And this is my brothers response to them, woah he's starting to talk out alot now himself.

Just because jehovah DOES take care of matters in his own time doesn't
give people an excuse to continue doing it. Neither does it give ANY
TRUE witness an excuse to sit back and say. Oh, jehovah will deal with
it. If you read the bible you will see that those who were truly
zealous for jehovah ALWAYS spoke out and acted against injustice and
wrong doing. Look at all the prophets who were killed by the Jews and
kings of Israel. The Kings of Israel were the ANNOINTED servants of
God. However, when they started walking the wrong path, Jehovah put it
into the hearts of his prophets to prophesy against them and try to
disuade them from their wrong path. Remember, EVERYONE will be judged
by their own ACTION and/or INACTION... Sense of JUSTICE or lack there
of. Jehovah guides his servants. He also guides his people/servants to
speak out against injustice and wrongdoing from those who represent his
name. Read ALL of the Hebrew scriptures closely and you will NEVER find
ANY reference to a servant of Jehovah using "Jehovah will take care of
it" to sit back and not worry about injustices being carried out in his
    name.

If they truly believe Jehovah takes care of matters within His own time, why then did they seek a Supreme Court settlement against the small community in Ohio and other court proceedings? Do they not also trust that Jehovah will take care of matters in His own time when it comes to their desire to peddle their crap door to door?

    Trauma,

The reaction of 'Jehovah will sort it out in his own way in his own time' is an intellectual pacifier that eventually implicates the person who thinks this way in a crime of the most horrendous sort. It grants tacit approval to the concept that God is quite prepared to sit by on the side-line watching young children being raped, hearing their sobs and groans, while he waits for WTS Legal and the GB to solidfy an obviously flawed policy.

Furthermore, if the 'apostate' Bill Bowen, who is apparently guilty of crimes warranting eternal death in the eyes of the GB had not stepped forward and made public this issue, God would be happy to sit at home filing his nails with no apparent concern for his 'little sheep'. Flawed theology, flawed ethics, murderous policies. Thank God for SS Apostate And World and all who sail on her, for without them the WTS would continue carrying out its vicious policies without restraint.

I have no answer as to why, if there is a God, he permits such wickedness. I do know however that left to the GB the problem would not diminish but increase.

Thank you for your post - HS

J' has been known to be a little late to take care of sending the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to his wife, the Mother Organization, so Maybe the mother must send the little kids to provide her with $$$$$$$$$ to places where they are not wanted.

In my psych class (ok.....this won't be long) I learned of situation that fits this nicely.

Remember the woman who was raped for hours in NY City, screaming the whole time in front of her own apartment building, where literally over a dozen witnesses heard her, saw it happening, all had their windows open as it was summer (before air conditioning), actually heard the rapist when he went on to stab her repeatedly.....and then he left - and came back - and killed her? Not ONE person called the police to help the woman who was screaming for almost an hour.

Well, these people were all interviewed, it all hit the news, it was studied for decades as a phenomenon............and then the professionals found out it wasn't unusual at all. It was quite common - and it wasn't because they were hardhearted, non-caring. You see, ALL the witnesses admitted to hearing her death screams.....but they figured someone else would call the police.

The lesson is that the more people who see/hear a crime/accident, the less chance that any one person will speak up to report the crime, or help the victim. "Oh, I'm sure SOMEBODY will help." It's shitty, human, common & proven.

The WTBTS is engineering the same scenario in it's followers - by their repeated teaching of the sad song "Wait on Jehovah." which translates into "Oh, I'm sure Jehovah will straighten it out."

Everyone loses as all are taught to passively sit back and do nothing, while vile persons continue to kill through gross medical non-treatment, rapes & abuse of weaker ones.

ps: When the prof. introduced this session in the book - he prefaced by saying that no one in class would agree with him.....at the beginning of the chapter. "We're not a pretty species."

If J' is going to take care of matters in his own time, How come the GB directs elders take action when they hear someone are inspired by god to know when has been petting, having oral sex with his partner, smoking, joining the YMCA, etc., but they have to wait on J' when it comes to protecting little ones from being molested?

J took action against those catholic priests, but is protecting his organization now from bad public relations!

Oh, well, on the other hand, maybe he enjoys to watch this sort of thing.

Excellent reasoning by your brother, I believe he is on his way.........

The "Jehovah will deal with it in his own time" line is a standard pacifier to give the rank & file when the elders dont have an answer
