Just when the Doctor was about to get blasted by shiny silver teapot-headed robots, the fateful words "time to go to the group!" would ring out. Even knowing that Freddie Franz was looking more and more like Davros every day wasn't much of a consolation.

We didn't miss any Trek, though - Next Gen (then DS9 and Voyager) were on Saturdays. Guess we could have missed Enterprise eps, but we were 'out' by then. (Too bad, too, as they aren't really anything to miss...)
Never really keen on any of the shows that were on Thursdays - sitcoms bore me. Oh - there WAS 'Roswell' and it was on Tuesdays! (Damn them!) As was 'Buffy', too. Fortunately, VCRs existed by then, so...

Maybe not, but it's more wholesome by and large than anything you'll hear at the Kingdom Hall.
