If Simon removes the edit ability......you all will be exposed for the
bad spellers and grammerers you really are..Remember this happened before
and it caused Havoc....And you will all be joining the ranks of the rest of the
bad spellers .......like me and fred hall...except you wont be as sharply dressed.

Simon, an idea. Why don't you create a little script which generates a random number each time you edit a post, and then that random number gets added to a non-editable page, along with the username of the person who did the edit. To prevent this causing excessive wastage of disk space, only enable it for moderators. That way, no one will be able to trick others into believing that their post was edited, because they won't be able to make a random stamp!
Well, that's what I'd do in your position.

And I had a perfect right to post my opinion as well.
Thank goodness we do have the freedom to express our feelings.
