Faraon, My father did this years ago. Now my sons are 30 and 28 and have shunned me for almost a decade.
Your strategy agrees with mine now. Had to do again, I would not have let my children be within a thousand miles of a practicing JW, including their mother. During the time they were infected, I was a believing walkaway and my wife was practicing. I was a fool. All too late now for me to do anything to change anything except write about my experiences and maybe warn others of the dangers of theism and religion.
I would never marry a theist or let one near my children again.

I am relatively unscathed as I was the only JW in my family.
Yes it is like a virus, and amputation is the only cure.
I woke up a few times last night feeling a bit guilty for putting him through all that, but this morning I felt CLEANSED!
And I'm ready for any repercussions.
