How long have you lived in California? I've lived here for most of the last 34 years and I've never heard any long-time resident from SoCal call California "Cali."

Best thing: ANYBODY can move here and become American. American art, music and food have roots from all over the world. Where else can you buy Southwest meat and veggies wrapped in a Won Ton? Or Thai chicken pizza?
I was reading the other day that the children of Mexican-Americans that came here as migrant workers are buying there own farms.
My doctor is Chinese, my wife's doctor is Russian, one of the specialists I see is Pakistani.
These things don't happen anywhere else in the world.
