Okay, here's some killer (and not-so-killer) ones:

    1) "At school they taught me how to be/so pure in the thought and word and deed/They didn't quite succeed"

    2) "It's like a dream you try to remember but it's gone/Then you try to scream but it only comes out as a yawn/When you try to see the world outside your front door..."

    3) "Kingodm Hall to my left/BQE to my right/Brooklyn in the middle/in the middle"

(yes, there is a song by a non-JW artist mentioning the KH...in fact, later in the song, he pokes fun of the Watchtower)

    4) "She's got herself a universe/Gone quickly/For the call of thunder/Threatens everyone"

    5) "So you feel misunderstood/Baby, have I got news for you/On being used, I could write the book/You don't wanna hear about it"

    6) "Was it cracking the code/or filling in time?/Was that all?/So then why'd you go back/to the scene of the crime?

    7) "Touch him/With the gentleness you feel inside/Your love can't be denied/The truth will set you free"

    (gasp! another JW-friendly term from a non-JW!!)

    8) "She simmers like a California sunset/honey, honey glitters but/there's no gold"

    9) "I came across a cache of old photos/and invitations to teenage parties"

    10) "You got yourself an ass with a mind of its own/brings something to the party"

    13) "Too many hearts are broken/A lover's promise never came with a 'maybe'"

    14) "Is it possible i could feel this cool/I could really love you/the way I do"

    15) "We let it all slip away when things got bad"
    (hint: movie tune)

    16) "so much confusion/when autumn comes around/What to do about October?/How to smile behind a frown?/It's hard to settle down

Dang, Dustrabbit! ...I don't know a single one of them. What are these, snippets from "b" sides of albums by one-hit wonders?

    1)
    Something calls to me
The trees are drawing me near
I've got to find out why
    Those gentle voices I hear
Explain it all with a sigh

    2)
How many deaths will it take til he knows
That too many people have died

    3)
So never judge a book by it's cover
Or who you're going to love by your lover
Love put me wise to her love in disguise
She had the body of a venus
    Lord imagine my surprise

    4)
    The last one to know
    The last one to show
    I was the last one
    You thought you'd see there

    COMF...they're not B-sides, really...
only number three is not from a major, major pop star....
the others are from top-40 artists...not necessarily hit songs, some are cuts off their albums...but several are radio favorites either in US, Canada, or England...

Plmcrzy the one about the KH is from a major *acid jazz* jam band tho, not Van Morrison...
