If witnesses can just count a text message as a "return visit" now, then something longer such as an email can be counted as a "study"??!!

A Bible study may be reported when it has been conducted two times after the study arrangement was demonstrated and if there is reason to believe that the study will continue. (added by me, this counts if you email, text, phone, )

There can be growth without new recruits when inactive members return. I feel this is the case with all the excitement around 100 years since 1914, new website, Ebola and a couple of wars. I doubt they will be able to have such success in the next few years with former members.

Don't forget the CONTEXT of the remark: A Zone visit to the US. So, "growth" can be perceived worldwide, but specifically in the US, the number of Bible Studies is diminishing, hence the heads-up.

How many of these lead to baptism? A study can now be counted from the second return visit, as long as you open a publication, even on the doorstep, and discuss a couple of paragraphs. Like texting is now doing rvs.
